Treasurer - Brenda Twine
Schools Committee. The Schools Committee serves as a liason between The University and the public and private high schools in South Hampton Roads. Its functions include representing The University at College Fairs in Norfolk and Virginia Beach and presenting Jefferson Book Awards to outstanding juniors at all of the area high schools. The Committee also sponsors a Juniors' Night Program in the Spring where representatives of the University of Virginia, including current students present their views on student life at The University. This Committee is chaired by Chris Boynton and Clyde Clark.
Jefferson Scholars Committee. The Club sponsors the Jefferson Scholars Program at the University. The Jefferson Scholarship Regional Scholarhip Selection Committee evaluates applications and interviews candidates annually for one of the Jefferson Scholarships. The Jefferson Scholarship recognizes students who excell in the Jeffersonian ideals of scholarhip, leadership and citizenship and awards a full scholarship to the student or students selected. From the candidates nominated by their respective schools, the Committee selects one candidate and one alternate to go on to Charlottesville for the next round of the selection process. The Committee is chaired by Steve Jackson.
Membership Committee. This Committee maintains the Club's membership rolls and responds to all requests for information on membership. Its also advises Alumni Hall in Charlottesville of the current addresses of local alumni.
Young Alumni Council. The Club participates in the Young Alumni Council sponsored by the Alumni Association. This Council is concerned with issues particular to recent graduates of The University.
